Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients

Pie Crust
4 1/2 c all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 bar butter unsalted
1/2 c ice cold water
2 tsp red wine vinegar


Custard
8 c fresh milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
24 pcs egg yolks
2 2/3c sugar
1 c cornstarch
6 tbsp cold butter unsalted
6 pcs ripe banan lacatan
whipped cream


To make a pie crust
Combine flour, salt and sugar using an electric mixer. Add butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Combine water and vinegar tofether and add in the flour mixture gradually. Mix in medium speed and just until the dough is formed. Chill for 30 minutes, then roll in a flat surface. Cut the dough and mold in a pie pan, bake for 30minutes at 350 degrees farenheight.
To make the custard
Combine milk, salt and vanilla on a pan and cook until it boils. Using an electric mixer, whisk egg yolk and sugar until pale yellow then gradually add in cornstarch and half of the milk mixture. Pour this into the remaining milk mixture and continue to cook until it forms into a custard. Turn off the heat and mix in the butter.
Combine the sliced banana with the custart and pour it into the pie. Chill atleast an hour before serving, arrange slice banana with whip cream on top before serving.
